From Sirius to Soundrise

Eileen Bagshaw, formerly an account director of podcasts at SiriusXM, announces that she has started as Director, National Accounts at Soundrise, a revenue development company for non-profit radio. It’s the latest in an executive audio career that includes stints at Stitcher, NPR, and New York Public Radio.

 

Moving On

Mathew Passy, Founder and former head of The Podcast Consultant, announces that he has sold his consultancy, the deal closing last month. “This change in ownership will bring new energy and fresh ideas to The Podcast Consultant’s business,” he says. The new owners are entrepreneur Karl Hughes in Chicago and marketing expert Manuel Weiss from Austria. Massey departs after eight years. READ MORE

 

 

A Category for Every Podcast

The People’s Choice Podcast Awards has opened up its 18th season — that means that podcast registration is open. There is a $50 entry fee for podcasts — the organizers emphasize that the fee is partly defensive, designed to eliminate casual entries by a show’s fans, which has resulted in awards bestowed to podcasters who didn’t know their shows were entered.
