Jottings of note:

Tinkerers

Children’s podcast network Tinkercast announces two executive appointments: Children’s media veteran and Sesame Street alumna Jodi Nussbaum joins as Chief Operating Officer, and from the world of edTech, Ali Paksima joins as Chief Financial Officer. We like the alternate titles bestowed by Tinkercast CEO Meredith Halpern-Ranzer: Chief Operational Tinkerer and Chief Financial Tinkerer. Tinkercast’s lead show is Guy Roz-created Wow in the World, which has served 150-million downloads.

Keeping the Window Open

New season of the Threshold, a Peabody Award-winning environmental show, is readying its 4th season, titled “Time to 1.5.” The premise identifies a “profound moment in human history, when the window for keeping global heating to 1.5ºC is still open.” Lots of reporting, per Threshhold style, and original music by Todd Sickafoose, who has won a GRAMMY and Tony award for music. iHeartRadio and Sports Illustrated Media have unleashed Sports Illustrated Weekly, a new podcast hosted by writer John Gonzalez. It’s a weekly drop which promises to “take sports fanatics through untold moments, iconic interviews and the best stories in sports thus far.” One episode has dropped; it’s got Tom Brady in it.
