RAIN Awards 2016: Finalists for “Best Streaming Broadcast Station”

rain internet radio awards plaqueThis week we are revealing finalists in the 7th Annual RAIN Internet Radio Awards. Today we are pleased to announce the advancing finalists in the “Best Streaming Broadcast Station” category.

The single winners of all six categories will be revealed and honored at RAIN Summit Nashville on September 20, as the closing session of the day-long conference.

This category is for the single broadcast station that has executed the best streaming strategy. Judges may consider ways that the station has extended and enhanced its brand through the use of online streaming. Only broadcast stations that stream online are eligible.

Congratulations to this year’s finalists (in alphabetical order):

  • WMCE 88.5 FM: A broadcast service of Mercyhurst University in Erie,PA. The station has been on the air since 1989 and has featured a variety of formats.
  • KSWD: KSWD has a focused strategy to keep the continuity intact from on-air to digital assets and vice versa.
  • KOIT: KOIT features a content strategy described as “FFFF”: Fido, Food, Family & Feel Good, targeting women 35-54.
