Quick Hits: Amazon adds anime; Shazam show’s host

Brief news items and worthy reads from around the web:

Amazon launches anime channel: Over the past several months, Amazon has made several changes to its video service, making the platform available in bite-sized chunks. Most recently, the company announced the launch of a standalone video channel centered on anime. U.S. Prime members can access the Anime Strike channel for an additional $4.99 a month. Might this strategy of segmentation also be in the cards for Amazon’s music efforts?

Shazam game show gets host: We reported back in August that Shazam would be the subject of a new TV game show. Now that project has a host attached: the multi-talented Jamie Foxx. The interactive show centered on the audio identification app is slated to debut during the summer.
