Entertainment hub and media player Plex announced that it has rolled out beta support for podcasts. Anyone with the Plex App can access the new feature now. Plex Podcast currently has features for following shows, maintaining an “on deck” list, picking up where an episode left off, discovery and browsing. It also offers importing and exporting, online listening, smart downloads, and rich show pages. Listening is available for free with a Plex account.

The space for podcast listening and discovery platforms has gotten crowded quickly. Plex’s existing multimedia support, including access to television, movies, and music, could make it stand out from the audio-only bunch.
