On the Move: Changes at Vevo, SoundCloud, and Pacific Content

On the Move tracks hires, promotions, and other notable personnel changes within the online audio industry.

Programming promotion at Vevo: Vevo announced a promotion for its programming department. Tom Connaughton will now serve as senior vice president of global content and programming for the music video service. “We’re entering into an exciting era for Vevo, with new models for storytelling and audience engagement,” he said. Connaughton replaces Andy Parfitt, who will stay in an advisory position during the transition.

SoundCloud partnerships director: Raoul Chatterjee has joined SoundCloud as the audio company’s director of content partnerships. His most recently worked at 7digital as senior vice president of music.

Former CBC exec joins podcasting company: Media company Pacific Content announced that Chris Boyce has joined as a principal and will be tasked with building a presence for the business in Toronto. Boyce was a former exec at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Pacific Content produces podcasting and branded content for brands such as Slack and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
