Omnifone’s business and assets are being purchased by an unknown party. According to documents published through Companies House in the UK, 34 parties expressed interest in buying the digital music company’s assets, but only six offers were received. The joint administrators accepted a bid of $10 million from a U.S. source, but the document did not disclose a name. It’s possible that once the deal is closed soon, the identity will become public.
The digital music company entered administration in early May. It faced a series of contracts ending, including with Sony, Sirius XM, and Guvera.
