Microsoft links Xbox Music with OneDrive for cloud access

Xbox Music OneDrive canvasMicrosoft introduced an integration between Xbox Music and OneDrive that will allow listeners to access their own music from the cloud. Up to 50,000 MP3 files can now be uploaded into a user’s OneDrive Music folder and then accessed from the Xbox Music app on any Windows or Xbox devices. Upgrading to the paid Xbox Music Pass subscription currently grants listeners an extra 100GB of storage on OneDrive for free.

This updated cloud functionality gives Xbox Music the go-anywhere on-demand listening for entire libraries that it had previously lacked. The OneDrive integration is now available in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K., and the U.S.
