Magnificent Noise launches first self-distro’d podcast, “Bubble Trouble” with Will Page

Bubble Trouble, is a new podcast hosted by former Spotify Chief Economist, current book author (Tarzan Economics: Eight Principles for Pivoting Through Disruption), and former RAIN Summit speaker Will Page along with Arete Research founder Richard Kramer. Part of Magnificent Noise, the podcast network created by former Audible  SVP and Head of Original Content (and RAIN Summit speaker) Eric Nuzum, it is that group’s first self-distributed podcast.

The new show features conversations between the two hosts; no guests are announced or featured. In this  format, the podcast promises to “lay out some inconvenient truths about how financial markets really work.”

Bubble Trouble is being promoted by The Podglomerate, RAIN columnist Jeff Umbro’s indie network. Umbro told us that the Bubble Trouble podcast, and the more public coming-out of Magnificent Noise as a network brand, indicates an evolution of sorts in podcasting, in which “the brush has been cleared from all of the recent acquisitions,” creating mindspace for small and mid-size publishers.

Bubble Trouble is supported by advertisers, and will create an ad-free subscription version for subscribers via the (delayed but promised) Apple Channels program.
