Deezer is launching a concert series inspired by its curated playlists. The streaming company plans to host a collection of small, invitation-only shows under the banner Deezer LIVE. Each concert will focus on a particular genre and will be named after the related playlist. Although in-person attendance will be limited, a recording of the performance will be available exclusively on Deezer afterward.
“Our editors make playlists to perfectly suit fans’ tastes and moods,” said Nigel Harding, vice president of artist marketing. “For the first time, we’re bringing these hand-picked selections to life in a really cool party atmosphere. Fans can get closer to the artists they love, from the playlists they love, all in a live setting.”
The inaugural concert is Rocket LIVE and occurs today, with Circa Waves and Twin Atlantic slated to perform.
