BuzzAngle Music, the new kid on the block for music charts, announced the launch of the latest version of its reporting and analytics service. The company, which bills itself as “music consumption analytics for the new era,” delivers daily reports measuring the performance for songs, artists, or albums. BuzzAngle Music 2.0 includes both physical and digital sales, on-demand streaming, and terrestrial airplay. It also offers filtering and customized selections by geography or genre. The service is available in the U.S. and Canada, but is beginning trials in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Brazil.
The data coming out of BuzzAngle is first of all, cool and interactive, but also has potential use in analyzing music performance for labels and publishers. The company has also been publicly sharing its data about the shift to streaming and digital platforms.
