DAX signs exclusive U.S. ad deal for Slacker Radio

DAX, the digital audio advertising arm of Global, has signed on as the exclusive sales partner for Slacker Radio in the U.S. Under the terms of the deal, DAX will package Slacker’s inventory across its digital audio network and its advertisers will have greater access to the genres, radio formats, and listener demographics within Slacker. The audio platform, owned by LiveXLive Media, offers listeners lean-back stations curated by mood, taste, and genre, as well as talk shows, news, and sports content.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be expanding our longstanding partnership with Slacker as they have always been an industry leader and innovator in the streaming music market,” DAX U.S. CEO Matt Cutair said. “Now that we are their exclusive audio ad sales partner, advertisers will now be offered more unique and premium ways to engage with their dedicated audience.”

“The advertising-supported freemium tier of Slacker Radio is an important revenue source for the company and it’s a great value proposition for our subscribers and listeners,” said Mike Bebel, EVP of development and rights management for LiveXLive. “We look forward to maximizing this opportunity with DAX to offer our advertisers and sponsors a more robust access point to our audiences.”
