Bumper’s new podcast measurement dashboard

Podcast growth agency Bumper has developed and released a new measurement dashboard which promises to publishers “the true performance” of podcasts. That true performance is the outcome of multiple data sources, and is available to all clients.

Bumper’s thesis is this: “In 2024 it continues to be unreasonably difficult to measure the success of a podcast.” That’s because of the complexity of multiple data sources that should be combined. If not, Bumper says, publishers merely receive download counts. Another part of the problem that Bumper claims to solve occurs when publishers have multiple shows.

The Bumper Dashboard (as the new tech is called) is a measurement aggregation tool which brings the most important podcast metrics into one place. That info can be ingested from multiple sources — the podcast host, marketing attribution services, and popular delivery platforms like YouTube. The single point of information is a main selling point.

At launch, the Bumper Dashboard includes five key data:

  • Verified listeners
  • Total listen time
  • Average listen time
  • Number of followers
  • Number of downloads
