Australia’s SCA enjoys jump in streaming metrics

Southern Cross Austerio (SCA) has  released a  basket of bragging-rights metrics for key streaming properties.

SCA’s live streaming audience has grown 58% year-over-year, and the company says that digital audio is its fastest growing advertising platform.

The combined streaming for SCA networks reached an audience of 1.5-million in September. The total digital audio network includes the two main broadcast networks, Hit and Triple M, and also Soundcloud Radio.

SCA has enjoyed affiliations with German-based SoundCloud since  last year when SCA because the exclusive Australian advertising representative for the streaming giant. More recently — in August of this year — SCA launched a dedicated SoundCloud streaming station which plays new music recently dropped into Soundcloud. You can listen HERE.

The Soundcloud stream acts like live radio; it’s not a playlist and is separate from the normal presentation of a Soundcloud account.

SCA Chief Sales Officer, Brian Gallagher, said, “Our digital audio listening and live radio streaming is the fastest growing ad platform in the market right now and continues to break listening records and record extraordinary growth, demonstrating the strength of digital audio.
