Digital audio sales company AudioHQ announced today an alliance with British sports media company talkSPORT to distribute Premier Leagues football (soccer) match radio coverage, and represent its ad inventory. The distribution will happen on the TuneIn platform — TuneIn has for several years built a broad catalog of radio sports coverage.
The Premier League features global stars such as Harry Kane, Paul Pogba, Sergio Aguero, Romelu Lukaku, and Sadio Mané. English clubs have witnessed an influx of international investment in recent years, including US owners at a number of the leading clubs.
“The EPL is the largest sports league in the world and we are delighted to be working with the teams at talkSPORT and TuneIn to ensure that U.S. listeners have free access to every single match,” said Matt Cutair, CEO of AudioHQ. “We are big believers in the power of sports and other compelling spoken word content in the digital audio market and are excited to have another major content differentiator in our sales network offering.”
Jimmy Buckland is the Director of International at talkSPORT, and he evangelized the excitement of Premier League. “The EPL consistently delivers some of the most exciting live sporting action anywhere on the planet,” he said.
Kevin Straley spoke for TuneIn, where he is Chief Content Officer. “AudioHQ and talkSPORT are tremendous partners to help give our listeners every EPL match for free on TuneIn. We continue to super serve our fans with world class content with this partnership.”
