Megalectrics, one of Nigeria’s broadcast radio platforms, has signed on as a featured curator and will bring African music to the tech company’s radio offerings. Three of its stations will now have Apple Music playlists, bringing music from Africa in general and Nigeria specifically to the service’s listeners.

“We’re very excited to be joining Apple Music as a featured curator, reinforcing our bouquet of stations as the leading music tastemakers in Africa and beyond,” Megalectrics Managing Director Chris Ubosi said. “It also means that users worldwide can discover the vibrant African music genres that are increasingly being consumed by Africans.”

Apple has been expanding its curation efforts within Apple Music, signing partners from all corners of the globe and all types of industries to develop playlists for its listeners.
