Apple Music offering $99 for a year of subscription access

Apple Music black canvasListeners who are committed to streaming via Apple Music have a new option for getting a better price. Apple has made gift cards available at select retail locations that offer 12 months of access for $99. That’s a roughly 18% savings on the standard cost of $9.99 per month. The discount year-long subscription cards are available in some brick-and-mortar Apple stores and online from certain retailers.

Apple also has other options for discounted listening. Its family plan gives up to six people access for $15 per month. There is also a student tier that’s 50% cheaper than the usual rate.

The company is expected to unveil new updates to the Music app at its September Keynote event tomorrow.
