Anchor, the Spotify-owned podcast creation and distribution app, introduced a new feature letting creators make trailers for their shows. The company is positioning the trailers as a way to reach new audiences on podcast platforms and on the web or social networks. The trailer lets a creator record a maximum of 1 minute of audio about their show. Users can also import an audio clip for their trailer. Anchor provides options for background music and generates an animated video to be the backdrop of the audio recording.
In addition to tools for recording and editing, Anchor rolled out an analytics platform for its users earlier this year.
