Ad network TargetSpot develops new BizDev unit; Thierry Ascarez appointed head

Picture Thierry AscarezGlobal digital audio ad network TargetSpot announced the launch of a new business development division today. Heading up the unit is VP of Business Development Thierry Ascarez, long-time VP of Business Development at Radionomy. Ascarez now holds both titles.

TargetSpot and Radionomy merged last December.

We reached out to Thierry Ascarez for details of his new TargetSpot appointment, and whether it affects his Radionomy role. “I will keep my role at Radionomy, but also joining the TargetSpot team,” he told RAIN.

Ascarez’s new role will bring him into working relationships with existing audio publishers who leverage the TargetSpot ad network, and attract new ones. “I will work on the relationships with current publishers, to generate more revenue together. On the other side, to sign new publishers and find new inventory. Pureplay, traditional broadcasters — any new publishers are welcome.”

His message to content publishers is one of superior tools. “We have unique targeting technology, we have premium networks, let’s work together. We share a mission, to help them grow their business and generate more revenue.”

TargetSpot employs sales reps in the U.S., France, Spain, and Germany.
