Acast rolls out operations in Mexico

Acast announced a launch in Mexico and a hire to guide its local efforts. The podcast compay is centering its operations at an office in Mexico City. It hired Sergio Domínguez as its managing director for the country. Domínguez joins Acast from Publimetro, where he was corporate sales director, and he will work closely with another recent hire, Acast Managing Director, Americas Brian Danzis.

“Mexico is a fresh and dynamic market that is starting to show a significant interest in podcasts,” said Domínguez. “At Acast, our unique ability to address every need for both independent podcasters and publishers — including hosting, distribution, marketing, measurement and monetization — paired with our rich experience and love of audio, means we’re able to bring innovative and tailored solutions for podcasters, advertiser and listeners — the likes of which have never been available before in Mexico.”

Acast has been making many strides for international expansion in recent months. The business opened new offices in Germany and Ireland over the last year.
