Acast lands Pionaire for hosting, distro, sales

The cleverly named Pionaire, a full-service network for podcasts and podcast talent, has signed Acast to handle Pionaire’s ad sales, hosting, and distribution.

Pionaire’s best known podcast is The Bert Show, called “a pillar of the audio industry for over two decades” by Tim Ruggert, U.S. Creator Network Director at Acast. The Bert Show started more than 20 years ago. On the Apple Podcasts page of The Bert Show,” the two-part episode dropped today mentions “Hosted on Acast” in its descriptions.

Bert in The Bert Show is Pionaire Co-Founder Bert Weiss. The podcast started over 20 years ago as a radio program.

“Since The Bert Show first launched as a radio broadcast more than 20 years ago, the show and broader Pionaire Network have grown massively to reach new audiences and adapt with the evolving audio landscape,” said Bert Weiss, Host of The Bert Show and Co-Founder of the Pionaire Network. “In searching for a new ad sales partner, we knew we needed a team like Acast that shared our understanding of the history of the podcasting  industry as much as they could anticipate the future of the space. Especially for a show like ours that shares a radio and podcasting audience.” –Bert Weiss, Co-Founder, Pionaire

Other Pionaire properties include The Breakup Breakdown and In the Moment.
