Spotify delights with data in 2018 Goals marketing campaign

Last year, Spotify tapped into its data troves for a clever marketing campaign. This year, it’s back in action, all themed around resolutions for 2018. The push is dubbed “2018 Goals,” and it again highlights some of the unusual factoids and data points from Spotify listeners. The campaign was developed and executed in-house and covers 18 markets.

Some of Spotify’s plans for next year? “Be significantly less proficient at goodbyes,” accompanied by an image of Sam Smith with stats for hist “Too Good at Goodbyes” single. Other copy focuses on most-streamed track “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran and “Slow Hands” by Niall Horan. And then there my personal favorite goal: “Take a page from the 3,445 people who streamed the ‘Boozy Brunch’ playlist on a Wednesday this year.” Cheers to that.
