Pandora Premium now offers support for Amazon Alexa

Pandora announced that its full on-demand subscription tier can now be accessed via Amazon Alexa. Pandora Premium has added support for voice commands, meaning subscribers can issue commands to control playback for songs, stations, and playlists on Alexa-enabled devices. Pandora can be set as the default music streaming service so that requests can be made of without specifying the platform in the spoken command.

Pandora has been making moves to showcase its Premium option to listeners. It offered a free trial of the paid tier to Comcast Xfinity X1 users during the telecom’s Music Week promotion and it offered Premium customers unique sharing tools through a collaboration with Snapchat. Premium listeners have also received additional perks and features since the access option launched, such as a daily personalized playlist with new music releases.
