iHeartMedia is partnering with Insomniac for the launch of a dance music station tied to the Electric Daisy Carnival event, happening June 16-18 in Las Vegas. The EDC Radio station, debuting April 28, will be exclusive to iHeartRadio. It will feature 24/7 programming focused on the dance genre alongside original content.
iHeartMedia will also be the premiere on-air content host for the event, which attracts dance music fans for live performances with a focus on visual spectacle. It hosted a special live stream on the Facebook pages for EDC and iHeartRadio to tease the performer lineup.
“As the largest multiplatform media company in the country, we are uniquely able to share the energy and vibrant music of the Electric Daisy Carnival with hundreds of millions of listeners nationwide, across our live broadcast stations, socially, and digitally on iHeartRadio’s new EDC Radio,” Tom Poleman, president of iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group, said. “Listeners have grown to expect iHeartMedia to be the go-to place for one-of-a-kind music experiences and teaming up with our friends at EDC is yet another opportunity to give fans exclusive access to the music they love.”
