Former Blinkbox employees are suing Guvera

Guvera canvasGuvera may be trying to sell off its Blinkbox music property, but the former employees of streaming service aren’t going quietly. About 100 of them have filed a class action lawsuit against Guvera and two of its UK-based subsidiaries. They are seeking damages after they were fired following Guvera’s purchase of Blinkbox from British retailer Tesco at the start of 2015.

“Nearly 100 staff were dismissed without any warning and without any notice or redundancy payments,” said Paul Jennings, a legal rep for many of the plaintiffs. “Many of the employees are still owed wages.”

Looks like the Blinkbox saga will continue for a few more chapters at the very least.
