Month-over-month webcast listening was flat in August, according to Triton Digital’s monthly Webcast Metrics Top 20 Ranker, while year-to-date and year-over-year numbers were up. Our analysis looks at U.S. domestic streaming through the Monday-Sunday lens, 6:00am to midnight, using the key metricĀ of Average Active Sessions (AAS).
Year-over-year listening growth landed at 14%, led by Townsquare (+33%), Idobi (+25%), and Pandora (+21%). Idobi led the month-over-month ranking gain with 6% increase over July. Pandora saw a one-percent increase of average active streams.
In 2014, year to date, listening in the Top 20 group has grown by five percent, led by AccuRadio (+11%), Idobi (+1o%) and Pandora (+8%).
In its commentary of the August report, Triton notes that mobile listening continues to dominate, with iOS and Android streaming accounting for 60% of listening (iSO at 38%; Android at 28%).
