Spotify has put Victory Records’ catalog back up for streaming on its service. The music was removed after highly publicized allegations that the streaming platform owed royalties to the indie label and its publishing arm. Victory’s founder, Tony Brummel, told Digital Music News that the issue has been resolved, but neither he nor Spotify revealed details of the settlement.
“We’re glad to have our content back on Spotify, and that we came to a good resolution that works for everybody, ensuring that our fans can listen to the music they love on Spotify and that all of our artists and songwriters are paid for their work,” was Brummel’s only comment on the arrangement between his company and the streaming platform.
