Vevo has appointed a new CEO. Alan Price is formally taking the top executive title at the music video service. He’d been shouldering the responsibilities on an interim basis since the departure of Erik Huggers in December 2017. Price had been the company’s CFO since it launched in 2009, but he did also spend six months as interim CEO in 2014-2015 when Rio Caraeff exited the position.
“It’s an honor to be named CEO of Vevo,” Price said. “Having worked at Vevo since launch, I feel privileged to lead the entire team as we continue to amplify our unique offerings; allowing artists to creatively tell their stories while growing an advertising-based revenue stream that benefits artists, and our label and brand partners.”
In stepping up to this role, Price will continue to work toward maximizing the commercial value of premium music video content and growing Vevo’s business at a global scale.
