Spotify hires EMEA exec away from Deezer

Michael Kruse

Spotify has hired a new managing director for the region of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Michael Krause was most recently at Deezer, spending a year as CEO of EMEA for the music company. With the switch to Spotify, Krause will supervise international markets across the area and oversee operations in German-speaking countries.

Spotify has made several hires across its operation in recent months. Dustee Jenkins is the streaming service’s new top communications official in the public relations department and Adam Parness is the head of global publisher licensing, departing Pandora to join Spotify. Additionally, Spotify’s German office brought in Maik Pallasch as its local head of shows and editorial.
