Spotify has reportedly posted a profit in France for the first time, Billboard reported. The streaming service allegedly had 66% growth in revenue during 2013 for a total of 18.75 million euros. Profit was more than 311,000 euros.
A representative from Spotify France told L’Express (source in French) that the service reported a 76% spike in premium subscribers and secured up to 35% of the streaming market in the nation.
France isn’t the only place where Spotify’s numbers have hit the black. Spotify UK posted a profit in 2013 and it turned a profit in its home country of Sweden back in 2009.
