SoundCloud announced that it has promoted Peter Diamond to vice president of brand partnerships for North America. He previously held the director role for that division. As part of SoundCloud’s North American sales team, Diamond has been leading the expansion, management, and strategy for the company’s advertising sales function. Before joining SoundCloud, Diamond worked on building advertising, sponsorship and business development partnerships for select brands at Major League Baseball’s Advanced Media.
SoundCloud has been making many changes to both its personnel and its product in the past six months. In addition to the exit of several executives, SoundCloud launched a mid-tier subscription service. It now has a free ad-supported service, a mid-priced subscription and a full on-demand subscription.
