Rdio update: Apple mobile apps now include key desktop features

rdio logo canvas 160hRdio updated its iOS mobile apps with two important features that exist already in the desktop experience.

First, users can now manipulate their playlists in iPhones and iPads. That means adding and deleting tracks, changing the order, alter the artwork, and more. These features are important to subscribers who work to customize Rdio listening. With U.S. listening migrating to mobile from the desktop, it is increasingly important for music apps to provide an unbroken feature set across all their installations, whether computer, tablet, or smartphone.

The second update is the ability to write music reviews from within the mobile app. That function, too, already exists in the web app.

The Android app (downloaded from Google Play over five-million times), is not updated. Rdio’s blog announcement says that will come “down the road.”
