RAIN Summit West focus on local digital dollars

RAIN Summit West canvasEveryone in the industry is hearing about local ad sales, and digital ad sales. A recent report from BIA/Kelsey notes that digital revenue is increasingly important to broadcasters, but still represents a small portion of overall earning. On the pureplay side, knowing and serving the local listener both regionally and hyper-locally, is both important and more possible than a year ago.

At RAIN Summit West, held as a co-located event with the NAB Show in Las Vegas, a panel called LOL! Local Digital Dollars Are Serious Business brings together experts on the content and digital solutions sides. RAIN Summit West is a whole-day, single-stage education and networking event held Sunday, April 6, at LVH – Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.

Moderating the discussion will be Rick Ducey, Managing Director of BIA/Kelsey. Ducey will be joined onstage by Tim Clarke, Director, Digital Audience for Radio (Cox Media Group); Phillip Beswick, President / CEO (The Media Audit); Martin Kristiseter, VP Mobile Solutions (Marketron); Bill Freund, EVP/ Chief Revenue Officer (Clip Interactive). The discussion will focus on tools needed to capture a share of the migration of local dollars to digital.
