RAIN Summit West, April 12 in Las Vegas, has posted this year’s discussion panels, and the first 12 confirmed speakers. All info (and registration) is here — a page worth bookmarking as the show develops. RAIN Summit West, a partner event of the NAB Show, is the preeminent information and networking event for the streaming audio industry.

This year’s RSW panels include:

On Demand is In Demand: 2015 is the year of the podcast! This panel, hosted by PodcastOne CEO Norm Pattiz, will feature podcast personalities discussing their shows.

The Value of an Ad: There are many ways to measure online audio campaigns – impressions and CPM’s, return on investment, banner clicks, engagement. What are the best practices for measuring effectiveness? Hear several experts describe their perspective, including case studies of successful ad campaigns.

RAIN Legal Panel: Congress, the Copyright Office, the DOJ and the Copyright Royalty Board are all considering changes in the way digital music services pay for the music that they play.  This panel will explore the music licensing issues currently being debated in Washington, and learn how they may affect your business in the near future.

You Should Talk: From news and traffic to sports and comedy, listeners are consuming more talk programming online than ever before. This panel will discuss the innovations that have facilitated the rise in popularity of non-music streamed content.

In addition, the content-packed day will feature the keynote address by Rdio CEO Anthony Bay, showcases, research reports, and other presentations.

NOTE: Early-stage startups are invited to apply for consideration in the Streaming Audio’s Startup Economy showcasesee details here.

As in the past 13 years, the day will end with RAIN’s famous networking cocktail mixer.

Confirmed speakers include Ted Gurley (Univision), Norm Pattiz (PodcastOne), Larry Rosin (Edison Research), Kurt Edwards (talkSPORT), and others.
