As part of its recurring series of podcast resources and guides, podcast services company The Podglomerate has published a new tutorial. Authored by Morgan Swift, Senior Manager,Marketing & Audience Development, the piece is titled How To Advertise Your Podcast To Grow Listenership. It analyzes the pertinent details and benchmark results of five advertising types: Podcast apps, audio ads, email newsletters, social media ads, and miscellaneous advertising like display and banners. “The options for paid advertisements are practically endless,” we’re told.

Eric Nuzum (Co-founder, podcast production company Magnificent Noise) has published the latest in his longstanding Audio Insurgent series. This is an “Ask Eric Anything” dispatch. Always richly voluble, Nuzum really stretches out in this semi-interactive piece. “The questions were so different this year,” he observes, and notes that he received “incredibly practical questions.” Question range from skill improvement to the crossover to social media, efficient audio-to-video workflows, dealing with unhappy interview subjects, “windowing” podcasts outside of RSS (e.g. the BBC), and one query asking what Nuzum would say to himself from five years ago.
