Another Pivot

London-based Will Page — former Chief Economist at Spotify, author of the book Pivot, and RAIN Summit Speaker, has joined the Edinburgh Futures Institute. “We are delighted to introduce Will Page as an Edinburgh Futures Institute Associate,” the organization proclaims. “Our associates provide a wealth of expertise and experience to our challenge-led portfolio of activities.” From Will Page: “To be welcomed to the Edinburgh Futures Institute means the world to me, especially as it is housed in the old hospital where I was born.” He also observes that the institute has a “state of the art 400 capacity venue begging to be used.” Read more HERE.

 

SIRI Split

Forbes analyzes the recent reverse stock split in Sirius XM (NASDAQ: SIRI) history, a 1-for-10 maneuver that delivered one share fo every 10 shares previously held by investors. Forbes notes that reverse splits can, on their face, be viewed positively or negatively, and speculates that the move was most likly made to produce a pubic-facing stock price (in the $6-per-share range) “that is more likely to attract institutional investors.
