Funny With Purpose

Late night TV hosts are joining with Spotify to co-produce a podcast (Strike Force Five). Subject: the Hollywood strike. Purpose: to support their out-of-work staff, which will receive all proceeds. Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and John Oliver will take turns hosting the show with what Spotify describes as “unique insights, opinions, and humor. Twelve episodes; the podcast drops September 30. Hosted on Spotify-owned Megaphone. Spotify is the exclusive sales agent. Mint Mobile and liquor company Diageo are already aboard as launch sponsors. TRAILER (And in the same kettle of fish, Spotify is also launching a podcast with TV host Trevor Noah; launch date undetermined.)
