The Gen Z Podcast Listener Report, conducted by Edison Research with support from SXM Media will be presented in a free webinar on June 15. Presenters: Edison Research Manager of Research Salma Aly and SXM Media Vice President of Sales Research Melissa Paris. Forty-seven percent of the Gen Z population are podcast listeners — that’s 24-million people. Info will include data on the podcast listening habits of Gen Z, how they discover podcasts, how they interact with podcasts through social media, and how they take action from hearing podcast ads. Philadelphia public radio station WXPN announces the launch of a new podcast called Artist To Watch: Black Opry Residency. Hosted by John Morrison, the podcast presents five stories of up-and-coming Black musicians seeking to reclaim country and Americana as inclusive genres. The first episode of the 5-part series is available to stream across all digital platforms Thursday, June 8 with subsequent episodes airing each week on Thursday through Black Music Month. TRAILER
