Looking Back

Podcast ad-intel firm Magellan AI has scheduled a year-in-review webinar called “A look back at podcast advertising in 2021.” It’s Thursday, Feb. 10 at 2:00pm ET. The promo acknowledges what other projections have told us: Podcast advertising will exceed $1B this year, and $2B next year. Magellan has analyzed 2021 to determine which brands were spending, how they structured their campaigns, and how their approach changed throughout the year. Register HERE.

 

Heroic Listeners

Edison Research and Ad Results Media are preparing the third annual Super Listeners study, and will present findings on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2pm ET. Marshall Williams and Tom Webster will host. It’s about podcast listening, and the survey asked “Super Listeners” about the number and length of podcast ads, querying them also on their attitudes and responses to advertising. Getting Along Great

PRX and Futuro Media are expanding their podcast partnership with politics and culture podcasts “In the Thick” and “Latino Rebels Radio.” PRX will distribute the shows and provide sponsorship/promotional support, while Futuro Media will produce the programming. The two orgs have partnered in a few other shows in the past. “Our partnership with PRX has been spectacular,” says Futuro Editorial Director Julio Ricardo Varela.
