Spearheading

iHeartMedia will launch a new podcast network, Reasoned Choice Media, whose mandate will be to provide a platform for diverse voices and perspectives during the 2024 election cycle. The announcement is embedded in launch PR for a new podcast, Native Land Pod, a weekly politics show that will spearhead the network mandate and promises authenticity on a different level. Host for the new show: Angela Rye, Tiffany D. Cross and Andrew Gillum. “The news is made for the comfort of white people,” one of them observes in the show trailer. Listen HERE.

 

New to the Team

The Podglomerate adds a Lead Producer to its staff as Katelyn Bogucki joins the team. Coming from Gimlet Media, where she executive produced the Archetypes podcast (hosted by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex), Bogucki is tasked with expanding the network’s slate of original podcasts. ā€œI admire what The Podglomerate has built,ā€ says Bogucki. ā€œIā€™m looking forward to collaborating with an entrepreneurial team who strives for innovative audio.” Read the announcement HERE.

 

More Mysteries

Libsyn’s AdvertiseCast has re-upped with the Moms and Mysteries true crime podcast. It’s a frequent top-10 Apple-charted show in its category, with 30-million total downloads to date. “Libsyn’s AdvertiseCast team has played a crucial role in our show’s expansion and monetization,” said Melissa Rice, editor and co-host of the podcast. Libsyn offers advertisers host-read and produced ads, and allows advertisers to blend programmatic revenues into their host-read programs.
