Qobuz, a streaming company focused on elevated audio quality, announced that it is revising its plan structure. It has eliminated its option for an MP3 plan, and will only offer plans including its high-resolution and CD quality lossless catalog.
“MP3 is really bad for music, artists, and listeners — so Qobuz is saying ‘no’ to MP3 and now offers only real studio quality in one accessible plan,” Qobuz USA Managing Director Dan Mackta said. “Studio Premier is a special offer we’ve been dying to make. The listeners can pick plan options are the Studio Premier, available for a limited time at $14.99 a month, and the Sublime+ for $249.99 a year, which covers streaming and discounts on the platform’s download store.
