Podtrac published its ranker of the top ten podcast publishers in January 2019. The year kicked off in the same style as most of 2018, with NPR at the top of the chart. All ten of the publishers from the December 2018 ranker stayed on the list for another month, with just some shifts in placement.
The average U.S. unique monthly audience for these publishers was even with the previous month at 7.7 million, but up 29% from January 2018. Total global downloads rose 15% from December 2018 and 57% from January 2018.
