Hollywood has been turning to podcasts for creative inspiration, but major movie releases are also finding other ways to work with audio. An upcoming stop-motion animation movie titled Missing Link is being promoted with a new Alexa skill.
The skill is called the Missing Link Adventures and contains a total of 1.5 hours of interactive audio content. The audio allows listeners to participate in six different treasure hunts in their own homes, featuring spontaneous exercises, riddles, and character banter. It includes performances by actors from the feature film and does not use the Alexa voice. United Artists Releasing and digital agency Isobar created the skill.
“We are entering what we call the age of conversation,” said Ricardo Salema, chief creative officer at Isobar. “It’s an exciting way to get people inside of a story.”
