Italian podcast listeners: High recall of advertising (MDE/Ipsos)

Milan-based digital audio solutions company MDE worked with Ipsos to create a visual landscape to describe Italian podcast listeners.

From it, we are interested to learn that podcasts are consumed monthly by 39% of Italians (nearly 12-million listeners), mainly through their phones. (And 13% via smart speakers.)

More than half of listeners (57%) consume entire episodes. When it comes to series, 43% of respondents say they persist through the entire series.

On the business side, 78% of respondents said they recall advertising, up from 71% in a year-ago survey.
