Podcast ad rate stability continues; small campaigns reach new cost low. (Libsyn Ads)

The average cost per thousand (CPM) for podcast advertising in April was nearly identical to March , dipping only five cents, or two-tenths of one percent. In April, the average cost for 1,000 ad impressions (CPM) was $21.90, compared to $21.95 the previous month.

This comes from the monthly reckoning at Libsyn Ads, as seen below: (See the source HERE.)

On the far right, the red line (small campaigns 1,000 – 9.999 impressions) meets the black line (average of all campaigns) for the first time in this chart’s history.

That’s the average cost. For campaigns with an upper limit of 9,999 impressions (the smallest campaign size represented by this monthly study), the average price per impression dropped from $22.55 to $21.90. Remarkably, campaigns of that size (1,000 – 9,999 impressions) dropped down to the average cost for all sizes — the only time that has happened in the CPM rate history formulated by Libsyn Ads. (See the red line above.)

For potential marketers, Libsyn Ads provides a pricing calculator that coordinates the reach, number of ad spots desired, and provides an average CPM rate. (HERE)
