The latest statistics for Germany showed that streaming held a quarter of the country’s music market, and a new survey from Bitkom further enforces those findings. Those results found that 39% of German Internet users older than 14 use streaming music platforms. Paid subscriptions are the path of choice for 22% of the respondents.
As with U.S. data, streaming is more popular among younger German listeners. In the 14-29 age group, 55% use streaming services. That dips to 41% for the 30-49 age group and to 32% for those aged 50-64.
