Podcast database and intelligence platform Podchaser has released the June edition of its podcast ranker. (It’s HERE.) Unlike other lists which deliver a snapshot leaderboard of podcast consumption, Podchaser highlights the most quickly rising new podcasts. The idea is to give advertisers and listeners a measure of fresh and fast-growing shows.
In June, the leading show was Blood and Water, a true crime production. Indeed, True Crime is a leading category for June, with six entries. The Culture category is even more prolifcally represented with 15 entries. (Some shows are placed in more than one category.)
Helpfully, this ranked also includes the podcast publisher and hosting provider. iHeartPodcasts is noticeable with seven placements.
