BRS Media, domain administrator for dot-FM and dot-AM website addresses (called top-level domains, or TLDs) has launched a new addressing twist — the dot-RADIO subdomain. Purchasers get an address like this: MyStation.radio.fm.
BRS Media led by CEO George Bundy, was a candidate for administration rights to the dot-RADIO top-level domain, but was not the winner of that application process. Last October, BRS Media petitioned for a review of the administration-rights decision.
Using the subdomain solution gives BRS Media some dot-RADIO mojo to use in its domain marketing, and gives purahsers an affordable way of getting the same mojo in their domain addresses.
“The Radio Global Domains under .RADIO.am and .RADIO.fm are designed for Bootstrap Start-Ups, SOHO Streaming Entrepreneurs, Social Media Enterprises and DIY Broadcasters worldwide, while at the same time encouraging originality in expanding the RADIO global domain space,” said Bundy.
Buy-in has started; newly purchased web addresses include Rewind.Radio.fm and Zen.Radio.fm.
