Brendan Monaghan, ex Spotify, takes over at Libsyn

Brendan Monaghan, one of the most prominent and influential executives and BoD members in the software and services industries, has been named Chief Executive Officer of venerable podcast company Libsyn. At the same time, Monaghan joins Libsyn’s Board of Directors.

In the fields of online audio, Monaghan is well known as the co-founder of ad tech company Megaphone, which started in March, 2019 as a rebrand of Panoply Media (RAIN HERE). Megaphone was acquired by Spotify in November, 2020 (RAIN HERE). Monaghan left Spotify in February, 2022; at that time he was head of Megaphone and the streaming giant’s overall global SaaS business. Under his stewardship, Megaphone delivered a compound annual growth rate in excess of 130%

More recently, Monaghan was CEO of mobile auto repair company Roda, one of many high-growth tech companies in which he maintained leadership roles.
