Podcast company Blubrry announced the launch of a new feature for dynamic advertising. The tool will allow podcasters to swap the ads running in both past and present episodes. The dynamic ad option will be available at two tiers. The free option, which rolled out yesterday, offers free pre-roll ads for the 50 most recent episodes published. The other option provides unlimited pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll ads for a monthly fee. That tier is due to be available at the end of the month. Later this year, Blubrry expects to add an option for geographic targeting.
“Podcast advertising revenue is expected to reach $1 billion by 2021,” RawVoice/Blubrry CEO Todd Cochrane said. “By releasing dynamic insertion, we’re ensuring that our podcasting community is able to better monetize their podcast.”
